Within the framework of the visit, General Kostarakos was received by President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. After an official welcoming ceremony at the administrative building of ARM MoD, tête-à-tête meeting took place between Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov and General Mikhail Kostarakos, followed by the extended session with high-ranking officials of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces and General Staff of the Hellenic National Defence. Armenian-Greek bilateral military cooperation as well as regional and international security issues were on the agenda during the official meetings and negotiations. At the end of the meeting, the military cooperation program for 2014 between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia and Ministry of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic was signed by the Chief of Defence Policy Department of ARM MoD Levon Ayvazyan and the Head of the Directorate of Foreign Relations of Hellenic National Defence, Brigadier General Alexandros Diakopulos. At the end of the visit, delegation led by General Mikhail Kostarakos also paid a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial and laid a wreath at the memorial to the victims of genocide.
