Before the event commencement, led by Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan and AF Chief of General Staff Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov participants toured the unit, and were given a briefing on communications and other military equipment. The event attendees also communicated with a group of officers who are currently taking part in exercises in Germany, and received warm congratulations on behalf of the exercise command. Subsequently, a meeting was held at the parade ground, featuring congratulatory remarks by high-ranking officers and spiritual servants. Head of Signal Troops, Major-General Komitas Muradyan congratulated all of the officers and conscripts and elaborated on the stages of formation of communication troops and their operational records. Congratulatory speech, dedicated to the 21st anniversary of formation of Signal Troops was given by Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan. Minister S.Ohanyan emphasized the role and importance of Signal Troops in the army, wishing signalers to relay good news only. A number of officers and conscripts were awarded with departmental medals and certificates on this occasion. The event was concluded by a ceremonial parade and concert program.
