The head of the Ministry mentioned in his speech that the Armenian nation, being spread all over the world, fully realizes the role and value of the national minorities in the self-determination of every state and every nation and in the national culture formation and development. “We gathered today to honour a Yezidi hero, who created our history together with the Armenian nation. On the contrary with other states where the rights of the national minorities are violated (and those states are not far from us), we appreciate our Yezidi brothers and sisters’ role and importance. And I am sure that this friendship between two nations can serve an example for other nations and states”,- mentioned S. Ohanayan. During the ceremony national hero, Yezidi military leader Jahangir Agha’s activities were praised.
