On September 6, Seyran Ohanyan, Minster of Defense of Armenia hosted Dan Burton, Head of the US House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe and Eurasia.

Welcoming the guest, Seyran Ohanyan highly appreciated the support of the US Congress toward the development of the Armenian-American military cooperation especially in the sector of the military education reforms. Seyran Ohanyan also underscored the importance of the US balanced cooperation with the regional states. Emphasizing the high level of the bilateral cooperation, US Congressman promised to convey the position of the Minister to the US Congress. At the meeting the parties also referred to the issues of regional security, bilateral military cooperation as well as some other issues of mutual interest.
