New Students, New Methods and New Assessments

The 6th Annual Educators Program sponsored by the Partnership for Peace Consortiumof Security and Defense Academies was launched On June 12 at the Ministry of Defense.

This year’s conference under the title “New Students, New Methods and New Assessments” aims to hold interacting discussions on new approaches and methods in defense, military education and training sector by exchange of best practicesamong the participants. The conference brought together representatives from Armenia, Albania, Belarus, Canada, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Macedonia, Mauritania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Ukraine, and the United States. At the conference, ARM First Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan, Head of National Strategic Studies Institute Major-General HaykKotanjian, former Dean of thethe Royal Military College of Canada Allan James Barrett, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Mid-America Christian University Kathaleen Reid-Martinez and Coordinator of the Partnership for Peace Consortiumof Security and Defense AcademiesJohn Kanegave opening speeches. Highlighting the importance of this event in Armenia, ARM First Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan told in his speech that in order to face current threats and challenges, first of all we ought to be interoperable first of all from the intellectual perspective, and that this cooperation can become a vital factor to confront the fragile security environment where Armenia currently finds itself. The conference will last until June 15.
