On March 29, the annual meeting in the format of Political and Partnerships Committee + Armenia was held at NATO headquarters.

During the meeting the delegation headed by ARM First Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan and NATO member and partner countries’ representatives at the Committee discussed defense reforms underway in Armenia and recent initiatives for defense legislation amendment. They particularly touched upon the recent significant progress in various processes including the adoption of the new Disciplinary Code of the ARM Armed Forces, legislative package of professional NCO corps formation, “Military Education Concept” as well as peacekeeping capability building. The Alliance expressed its readiness to further support reforms in the defense and security sector.
