ARM Defense Minister had meetings in the State of Kansas

On March 20, in the framework of the working visit to the USA, ARM Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan had discussions with Adjutant General of Kansas Major General Lee Tafanelli, President of the Senate of Kansas Stephen Morris, and Mike O`Neal, the Speaker of the Kansas House of Representatives. Education system of The United States Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) as well as Expeditionary Medical Support system capacities were presented to the ARM Defense Minister.

During the meeting with the Governor of Kansas Sam Brownback the high level of cooperation between Armenia and Kansas was registered and the prospective of broadening and deepening cooperation within the State Partnership Program was outlined. The Governor signed a declaration of cooperation between Armenia and Kansas which particularly says that Kansas is proud to announce the progress made over the last 9 years of cooperation between Armenia and Kansas in the framework of the State Partnership Program. Kansas appreciates the high level of duty service performed by the Armenian Armed Forces service members and overcoming adversities they faced alongside with American and NATO forces in Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Kansas is committed to ensuring the continuance of the long-term exceptional cooperation and its further broadening with Armenia. In the framework of the partnership Armenia and Kansas stand side by side for the sake of peace, prosperity, and freedom”.
