Welcoming the guest ARM Defense Minister emphasized the high level of the cooperation between the ARM Defense Ministry and United States European Command. Rear Admiral Marc C. Montgomery thanked the Armenian side for the support for Kosovo and Afghanistan missions. During the meeting they discussed issues such as Armenian-American joint exercises, military education and other issues of mutual interest. During the visit, Rear Admiral Montgomery met the deputy-chief of general staff of the ARM Armed Forces lieutenant-general S. Galstyan. They discussed issues regarding the participation of the Armenian peacekeepers in the international operations. Rear Admiral Montgomery also visited the Peacekeeping brigade of the ARM Armed Forces.
