ARM Defense Minister has Left for Brussels

On October 5, the delegation headed by the Minister Seyran Ohanyan left for Brussels to participate in the meeting of NATO and non-NATO Ministers of Defense in the framework of the countries which participate in International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) operations in Afghanistan.

During the meeting they will discuss the situation in Afghanistan, further strategy of the Alliance, as well as other issues concerning the operations in Afghanistan. On the same day, ARM Defense Minister will participate in the informal meeting in the framework of Defense Ministers of the countries, providing troops for Regional Command North of ISAF, where the ministers will coordinate and declare their joint communiqué. In the framework of the visit Seyran Ohanyan is to meet with NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathhurai, Commander of US European Command (USEUCOM), Admiral James G. Stavridis, as well as with the Defense Ministers of partner countries.
