During the meeting they discussed issues concerning Armenian-German cooperation in the defense sector. The parties noted with satisfaction that over the last years the military cooperation has made a great progress in the fields of military education and peacekeeping. Christian Schmidt thanked Seyran Ohanyan for outstanding military service of the Armenian peacekeepers in Afghanistan under the German command. At the end of the meeting Seyran Ohanyan and Christian Schmidt signed an agreement for education and training of the servicemen of ARM armed forces and staff of ARM Defnese Ministry in the istitutions of the German armed forces. The agreement is signed in the framework of the military education assistence agreement between ARM Defense Ministry and Federal Ministry of Defense of Germany.
