On August 16, The headed delegation of the Chief of General Staff of the ARM armed forces, colonel-general Yuri Khachaturov left for Garmisch-Partenkirchen to participate in the Annual Conference of the Chiefs of General Staff of Partner Countries under the Auspices of US and European Command. The theme of the conference of this year: “International Humanitarian Assistance in the Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters”. During the visit colonel-general Yuri Khachaturov is to meet the current Commander of U.S. European Command (USEUCOM) and NATO`s Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) admiral James G. Stavridis. During the meeting they are to discuss issues concerning Armenian-US and NATO cooperation in the defense sector. The headed delegation of the Chief of General Staff of ARM armed forces is to return to Yerevan on August 20.
