Consultation at the Ministry of Defence dedicated to law enforcement activities in the Armed Forces

On June 14 a consultation was held at the Ministry of Defence to sum up implemented activities of MoD and GS subunits and law enforcement bodies aimed at strengthening the law and order in the Armed Forces and to outline further actions with this regard.

The consultation was attended by Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov, Deputy Defense Minister Ara Nazaryan, heads of several MoD and GS departments and others. In his speech at the consultation the Head of the Military Police of MoD Colonel Samvel Ghukasyan briefed about completed operations and presented main directions for further steps. Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan in his speech emphasized the role of law enforcement agencies in strengthening the discipline and preventing negative phenomena within the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, and appreciated the engagement law enforcement agencies show in the Armed Forces. Defence Minister also issued corresponding instructions for proper organization of conscription and for effective implementation of actions by law enforcement agencies.
