Meeting at the MoD administrative complex

On June 12, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Greece in Armenia, Loannis Taghis and the military attaché Colonel Christos Dovas.

Welcoming the guest the Defence Minister noted that Greece is a strategic partner for Armenia and the fact that despite current financial problems in Greece the volume of cooperation between the defence agencies of the two countries has increased over the past year is very gratifying.Several high-level visits including those of Greek Defence Minister and Chief of General Staff of National Defense to Armenia planned later this year will give additional impetus to the development of cooperation. Expressing gratitude for the reception, Ambassador I. Taghis assured that Armenia is an important strategic partner for the Greek side and added that within his authority he will support the enhancement of the Armenian-Greek cooperation in the defence sphere.
