ARM First Deputy Defense Minister Participated in the NATO Political and Partnerships Committee Session with the Format of 28+Armenia

On June 17, the delegation headed by the ARM First Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan took part in the NATO Political and Partnerships Committee session with the format of 28+Armenia at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels.

During the session they discussed Armenia-NATO Planning and Review Process (PARP) evaluation report of 2011. They also discussed the objectives concerning the defense field of Armenia and the results of Armenian Strategic Defense Review in the renewed project of the Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP). 28 member states of NATO welcomed the completion of the Armenian Strategic Defense Review and expressed their willingness to support the implementation of defense reform guidelines formed as a result of the review. Member states of NATO highly appreciated the tripling of the Armenian troops in Afghanistan, the continuation of the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, and the progress made in the implementation of the objectives of the partnership of Armenia-NATO Planning and Review Process (PARP). At the end of the session, the delegation expressed its satisfaction over the results and thanked the participating countries for the readiness to support the efforts towards the development of the Armenian defense and security fields.
