Session in the Committee of Hostages, Missing People and POWs

On June 17, in the Ministry of Defense, a session in the Commission of Hostages, Missing People and POWs was held headed by its chairman ARM Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan. They discussed the work done in the first half of 2011 and the forthcoming projects.

The Committee members stated that the process to return the POWs home is slow as the Azerbaijani side doesn`t show the same willingness and determination. The Committee members mentioned the necessity to the draw the attention of international institutions to the restrictions of the Baku office of ICRC by the Azerbaijani authorities, and raise the effectiveness of the work done to bring back the hostages and the missing people home.
