The event took place in the Yerevan State University (YSU). Relatives of the hero, military friends, university staff and students as well as representatives of the Ministry of Defense took part in the commemorative event. The sister of the hero, Irina Arakelyan, his military friend Martik Hayrapetyan, acting rector of the YSU Aram Simonyan and the ARM Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan made speeches after the screening of the film dedicated to the military path of Yura Poghosyan. Emphasizing the contribution of Yura Poghosyan in the Artsakh War Seyran Ohanyan particularly said: "Yura Poghosyan is one of those individuals who are standing at the origins of the Armenian army". While speaking about the spiritual legacy of the national hero, the minister said that today the soldiers of the Armenia army carry out his directives, vigilantly watching over our bordes.
