The advisory group conducted effective discussions with of the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense representatives dealing with human resources management. The main topic of discussion was the development and introduction of the professional non-commissioned officers corps in the ARM Armed Forces. In particular much attention was paid to issues of professional sergeants` selection procedure, positional appointments, education, qualification and assessment, career promotion and their social welfare. The advisory group was also hosted by the ARM First Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan to sum up the results of the visit and to outline further advisory assistance.
