On March 14th/2007 after official visit to France the delegation headed by Mr. Serzh Sargsyan, Secretary, National Security Council under the President of the Republic of Armenia, the Minister of Defense said: “As you know Armenia-France relations are placed on a good basis”.

“Over the last time we have seen intensifying Armenian-French relations which are becoming deeper embracing new areas and in these conditions military cooperation should not remain at zero level,” Minister said to journalists. Serzh Sarkisian said both Armenia and France wanted to start military cooperation, and I think we succeeded. Defense minister said his discussion with French defense minister and Chief of General Staff of France army were successful, showing the good disposition of the French side. The minister explained that this cooperation will embrace cadets training and teaching French language.
