On May 7,2007 Defense Minister of RA Micheal Harutounyan hosted advisor of Prime minister of RA, academician of the RA National Academy of Sciences Fadey Sargsyan and Chairman of the Board of Trustee of “Fridtjof Nansen” fund Felix Bakhchinyan.

At the beginning of meeting guests congratulated M. Haoutounyan with the appointment on the post of Defense Minister, condemn Armenian genocide and talked about the events planned on occasion of the Victory and Peace Day, marked on May 9. In conclusion Advisor of the Prime Minister of Fadey Sargsyan and Chairman of the Board of Trustee of “Fridtjof Nansen” fund Felix Bakhchinyan awarded Defense Minister Michael Haroutounyan with a memorable Fridtjof Nansen Gold Medal. M. Haoutounyan was awarded with the medal of the greatest Norwegian humanist for following social-political, humanitarian principles and his activity aimed at recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
