Michael Harutyunyan received the delegation spearheaded by Matthew Bryza
17 January, 2008 00:00On January 18, 2008 RA Defense Minister Michael Harutyunyan received the delegation headed by Matthew Bryza, assistance to U.S. deputy secretary of state and American co-chair at OSCE Minsk Group.
Parties spoke about the document on suggestions on not agreed issues in Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. M. Bryza mentioned that the year 2008 must be decisive for everybody, that is, in case of political will final agreement may be reached and the conflict may be settled.
The parties spoke about the current pace of the Armenian-American military cooperation and voiced their assurance that the Armenian-American relations will develop more in the running year.
Talking about Armenian peacekeeping troops, M. Bryza highly evaluated their participation in the international peacekeeping missions, and stressed high efficiency and readiness of Armenian peacekeepers.
Interlocutors also discussed the issues connected with the reforms in the armed forces of RA.
