On March 22 RA Defense Minister Michael Harutyunyan received the representatives of the Ministries of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the Secretariat and the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

The interlocutors discussed the “Rubezh 2008” military exercises of the CSTO. The 4th stage of the maneuvers will be held in Armenia August 1-5.

Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվեց և ՀԱՊԿ անդամ-երկրների նախագահների կողմից զորավարժության ղեկավար նշանակված ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Մ.Հարությունյանի կողմից հաստատվեց ՙՌուբեժ 2008՚ հրամանատարաշտաբային զորավարժության մտահղացումը: Ի դեպ, այս զորվարժության 4-րդ փուլը` մարտական կրակի կիրառմամբ, կանցկացվի Հայաստանում` ս.թ. օգոստոսի 1-ից 5-ը:
