On July 1, 2008 the delegation headed by RA Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan left for Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, for a two-day official visit to participate in the recurrent sitting of the Council of Defense Ministers of CIS participating states.

A number of documents related to the filed of military cooperation will be discussed and signed. The sitting of the Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Organization will also take place in the framework of the visit. The issue of appointing the First Deputy Chief of the Joint Command of the CSTO will be discussed. The CIS Defense Minister will be hosted by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Kurmanbek Bakiev.
