On September 22, at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan, First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, received a delegation led by Lieutenant General Stefano Mannino, President of the Italian Centre for Higher Defence Studies.

During the meeting, issues related to Armenia-Italy cooperation in the defence sector, specifically regarding military education and trainings were discussed.

The parties reached a number of agreements on expanding cooperation in the field of military education.

As part of the visit to Armenia, the delegation led by Lieutenant General Mannino also visited the Military Academy named after Vazgen Sargsyan and the National Defence Research University, where prospects and directions for cooperation between the military educational institutions were discussed.
