On April 27, the First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan arrived in the Republic of India on an official visit.

A welcoming ceremony of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia Edvard Asryan took place at the Indian Ministry of Defence, after which Lieutenant General Asryan had a private meeting with the Chief of the Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, General Anil Chauhan. The private conversation was followed by a meeting with an expanded delegation.

The parties discussed issues related to the current course of cooperation between Armenia and India in the defence sector, summarized the results of the activities carried out within the framework of the bilateral cooperation plan. They also discussed a number of issues related to regional security.

At the end of the meeting, agreements were reached on deepening cooperation in a number of professional areas.
During his official visit to India, First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan met with the Defence Secretary of India Rajesh Kumar Singh.

Issues related to Armenia-India cooperation in the defence sector were discussed.
