The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian.

Minister Papikyan conveyed to the President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian the warm greetings of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance and necessity of the continuous development of high-level relations between Armenia and Iran, as well as the strengthening of peace and stability in the region.

Issues related to Armenia-Iran cooperation, including cooperation in the defence sector were discussed. Minister Papikyan emphasized the need of resolving the situation around Iran through diplomatic means.

The sides also exchanged views on issues related to international and regional security.
