Bilateral Defence Consultations between the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Republic of Germany were held in Berlin
11 October, 2024 14:55On October 9-10, Bilateral Defence Consultations between the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Republic of Germany were held in Berlin, with the participation of the delegation led by the Head of the Department of Defence Policy and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Levon Ayvazyan.
During the meetings held at the Federal Ministry of Defence of Germany, within the Departments of International Security Policy and International Cooperation, various issues concerning international and regional security were discussed, alongside the prospects for the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Levon Ayvazyan provided an overview of the political-military situation surrounding Armenia and its ongoing developments, highlighting in particular the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative developed by the Government of Armenia, as well as the transformation process of the Armenian Armed Forces.
Both parties reviewed and expressed mutual satisfaction with the progress of bilateral defence cooperation in 2024, underscoring its significant potential for further development. As a result of the discussions, the 2025 cooperation program in the field of defence was agreed upon, including a range of activities related to exchange of experience, education, and training, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
