On July 10th, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan, received the Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Minister of Defence, Defence Policy Director of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Austria Dr. Arnold Kammel. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austria to the Republic of Armenia, Thomas Mühlmann, also attended the meeting.
The discussions focused on perspectives of cooperation between Armenia and Austria in the field of defence.
Suren Papikyan presented the progress of defence reforms in Armenia and, in that context, the scope of international cooperation.
Issues related to regional security were also discussed.
