The meeting of Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia and Minister of Defence of Kazakhstan took place
23 January, 2024 17:37On January 23rd, during the official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, a formal welcoming ceremony of the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan took place at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The ceremony featured the participation of an honor guard and a military band.
Subsequent to the ceremony, the meeting between Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, and Minister of Defence of Kazakhstan, Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksylykov, commenced.
Throughout the meeting, discussions encompassed matters concerning Armenian-Kazakh defence cooperation, security, and various issues of mutual interest. Substantial potential for cooperation on both sides was acknowledged, culminating in an agreement to further enhance cooperation.
Concluding the meeting, the Defence Ministers formalized their discussions by signing the 2024 defence cooperation plan between the ministries of defence of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan. This plan includes a series of activities to be conducted in both Armenia and Kazakhstan.
