On the occasion of the Constitution Day, based on the proposal of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, by the Decrees of the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, the Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces- First Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Edward Asryan was awarded the military rank of Lieutenant General, the Commander of the Special Army Corps, Colonel Armen Gyozalyan was awarded the military rank of Major General, the Commander of the Department of Missile Forces and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia - Head of Department, Colonel Gor Nikoyan was awarded the military rank of Major General, the Commander of the Engineering Troops of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia - Head of Department, Colonel Karen Grigoryan was awarded the military rank of Major General and the Commander of the 2nd Army Corps, Colonel Garegin Poghosyan was awarded the military rank of Major General.
During the ceremonial event at the Residence of the President, President Vahagn Khachaturyan congratulated the high-ranking military officers on the occasion of Constitution Day and on receiving high military ranks, and wished them best of luck in their service forthcoming.
