Ceremonial conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Armenia-Kansas partnership
23 June, 2023 16:06On June 23 a ceremonial conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Armenia-Kansas partnership was held at the premises of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the U.S. State Partnership Program.
Defense Minister of Armenia Suren Papikyan and Governor of Kansas Laura Kelly delivered a welcoming speech.
During the ceremonial meeting, the outcomes of the achievements recorded over 20 years of cooperation were summed up. It was emphasized that the current level of cooperation between the Defense Ministry of Armenia and the Kansas National Guard creates a good basis for developing partnerships between the State of Kansas and other ministries of Armenia - with the police and the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the fields of agriculture, healthcare, tourism, etc.
The Armenian Defense Minister awarded a number of employees of the facilities of Defense Cooperation and the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Armenia with the medal "For Defence Cooperation" and honorary diplomas of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia for the contribution to the development of Armenian-American partnership in the field of defense and in connection with the Armenia-Kansas 20th anniversary partnership establishment.
A number of representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia were awarded by the Kansas National Guard.
