As part of his working visit to the Russian Federation, on December 9, RA Defence Minister Suren Papikyan participated in the joint meeting of defence ministers of SCO and CIS countries, where he presented the situation created in the region as a result of the latest military aggression of Azerbaijan.

Later, the meeting of RA Defence Minister Suren Papikyan and RF Defence Minister, Army General Sergei Shoigu took place. During the meeting, a number of current issues related to regional security, as well as military and military-technical cooperation were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the 2023 program of military cooperation between the RA and RF defence ministries was signed.
