24 May, 2022 15:43On May 24, a regular meeting of the Council of Defence Ministers of the CSTO member states was held under the chairmanship of the RA Minister of Defence Suren Papikyan in the format of a videoconference.
The defence ministers discussed issues related to challenges and threats to military security in the regions of collective security, as well as the implementation of proposals formed based on the results of the CSTO peacekeeping mission in Kazakhstan.

The meeting participants approved the issues of joint training planning, development and improvement of the system of basic educational-methodical and research organizations, radiation, chemical and biological safety, medical provision as part of the forces and means of the collective security system and a number of other issues.
At the end of the meeting, the RA Minister of Defence proposed to the CSTO Secretary to organize the signing of all adopted documents on an individual basis.
The next meeting of the Council of Defence Ministers of the CSTO member states is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022 in the Republic of Armenia, on the eve of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
