From April 25 to 27, representatives of the Ministry of Defence of Armenia, headed by Deputy Defence Minister Arman Sargsyan, took part in the event entitled "Management and reform of the security sector: Ensuring effective control over the security sector" organized by the Geneva Center for Security Management "DCAF" in Geneva.
The RA delegation was headed by Andranik Kocharyan, Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security.

The purpose of the event is to provide a platform for discussions in the field of security, subject to democratic and civil control.

During the event, representatives of the Ministry of Defence touched upon the protection of human rights and the strengthening of morals in the Armed Forces, as well as strategic approaches aimed at reducing corruption risks. The Deputy Minister of Defence stressed that strengthening the morals and ensuring the rights of the personnel of the Armed Forces are the priorities of the department, and in the context of defence reforms, special attention is paid to their continuous improvement.
