On March 31, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Armenia Cornel Ionescu and Military Attaché accredited to the Republic of Armenia, Colonel Mircha Zhuguranu (residence in Tbilisi).

Issues related to regional security were discussed during the meeting. The Minister of Defence presented the proposals on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the situation in Nagorno Karabakh, the positions of the Republic of Armenia on easing the tension.

Issues related to bilateral and multilateral cooperation were also discussed. The parties expressed readiness to develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
