On the evening of March 24, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergey Shoigu.

Suren Papikyan presented the latest developments in the Askeran region of the Artsakh Republic in connection with the violation of the line of contact by the units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and the greatly dangerous situation created as a result. The RA Minister of Defence stressed the need for the Azerbaijani units to return to their starting positions.

Sergey Shoigu assured that the situation is in the center of the Russian side's attention, necessary steps are being taken for its peaceful resolution.
