During the meeting with the officers in one of the military units, the minister touched upon the recent incidents in the military units subject to military unification. Suren Papikyan stressed that what happened was a result of discipline in some subdivisions, as well as inadequate moral and psychological level of individual servicemen. After listening to the reports of the officers responsible for the incidents, the head of the Ministry of Defence gave instructed the commander of the military unit on taking the necessary measures to exclude such cases. During the working visit, Suren Papikyan also visited the border area near Nerkin Hand community, where the commander of the military unit, Major General Artak Budaghyan presented the current situation in the area.

The Minister of Defence also visited the construction site of the military unit that is being renovated, got acquainted with the construction process on the spot.
