As we have already informed, on December 9, after a provocation carried out by Azerbaijani subdivisions in the eastern direction of the Republic of Armenia, the Armenian side has two servicemen who received minor gunshot wounds.
In the evening of the same day, a group of citizens protesting on internal political issues in Gegharkunik region and blocking the road from Vardenis to the capital, were informed in advance, that a little later the car on which one of the wounded would be delivered to the Yerevan Central Clinical Military Hospital would pass by, announced to the deputy commander of the army corps that they would impede the movement of the said vehicle. In this regard, the car had to get to Yerevan by a bypass route, as a result of which the timely provision of the necessary medical assistance to the serviceman was significantly delayed.
The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia considers the incident unacceptable and also reminds that the Armed Forces are outside politics and perform the function of ensuring the security of the Republic of Armenia around the clock. Obstruction of the function of providing medical assistance to servicemen who were injured in the defense of the Motherland, beyond any moral boundaries, regardless of the reasons.
