Armenia is the winner of the "Warrior of Peace" international competition
1 September, 2021 17:38Congratulating the teams of the participating countries on the successful holding of the tournament, the RA Minister of Defence expressed confidence that the "Warrior of Peace" contest has become a real celebration of military brotherhood and courage, contributing to the strengthening of international military cooperation for the sake of peace and security.
After comparing the results of all the competitions, by the decision of the judges commission, the best among the female servicemen in the international competition "Warrior of Peace" is the participant of Kazakhstan, senior sergeant Tolkin Bakizhanova. Senior lieutenant Armine Grigoryan from the RA Armed Forces team is in the second place. The third is lieutenant Alexandra Akhtulova from the Russian team. The winner in the men's individual fight was senior lieutenant Hayk Hakobyan from the Armenian team. The second place also belongs to Armenia - senior lieutenant Harutyun Yakhanyan. In third place is the Russian participant sergeant Andrei Vedensky.
In the team event, the team of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan took the third place, the team of the Russian Federation took the second place. The winner of the "Warrior of Peace 2021" competition was the team of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, which won a confident and well-deserved victory.
All the winners were awarded with cups, medals and valuable gifts. The event ended with the performance of the song and dance ensemble of the RA Armed Forces.
Representatives of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Greece and the State of Qatar (as observers) took part in the "Warrior of Peace-2021" competition.
The International “Warrior of Peace” competition of military professional skills is held within the framework of the "International Army Games" tournament by the decision of the Council of Defence Ministers of the CIS member states and in accordance with the plans of bilateral cooperation between the RF Ministry of Defence and the Ministries of Defence of the CIS member states. For the fourth year in a row, the “Warrior of Peace” competition is held in the Republic of Armenia.
