As a result of the firefight, which began after the enemy opened fire in the Verin Shorzha border area of the Gegharkunik region, a contract serviceman, junior sergeant V. Khurshudyan, born in 1989, received a fatal gunshot wound.

The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia expresses deep condolences to the family members, relatives and colleagues of the deceased soldier.

At the moment, the situation is under control, there is no shooting.
