Negotiations started on May 12 to resolve the situation in some border areas of the Syunik and Gegharkunik regions of the Republic of Armenia, which arose after the provocative actions of the Azerbaijani armed forces, continued today as well. The Armenian side once again presented to the representatives of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan its clear demand - to avoid further aggravation of the situation, in order to avoid unpredictable consequences, to leave the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia without any preconditions and return to their original positions

As a result of the discussions, an agreement was reached to continue the negotiations tomorrow, on May 16, at 14:00.

No change in the situation has been registered in all three directions, where the Azerbaijani military tried to advance its positions.

It should be reminded that yesterday, as a result of the actions of the Armenian subdivisions, the representatives of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces had to leave some territories.

The Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia emphasize the need for a peaceful settlement of the situation, nevertheless, once again declaring that encroachments on the sovereign territories of Armenia are absolutely unacceptable.
