Various media are spreading misinformation that the Defense Ministry has reduced the salaries of the employees. The news does not correspond to the reality.

The RA Ministry of Defense informs that according to Article 27, Part 1 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Remuneration of Persons Holding State positions and State Service Positions”, salaries of system employees will be paid оn time, for each month before the seventh working day of the next month (salary for January will be paid until February 7).

At the same time, it is reported that in January an advance was paid to alleviate the social burden of staff, and the allocations provided by the state budget to the Ministry of Defense in 2021 will be fulfilled in full on time. That is, the money transferred to employees is not a "reduced" salary, but only an advance payment to the salary, and the rest of the salary will be transferred within the timeframe defined by law.
