The situation in the zone of military operations was discussed during the meeting. The Minister of Defence presented facts about the involvement of foreign servicemen and mercenaries, consequences of the targeting of the peaceful settlements by the opponent. David Tonoyan stressed that the Armenian forces have sufficient capabilities to confidently fulfill the tasks set before them and the observance of the ceasefire can be ensured only in case of applying the international verification mechanisms.

Ambassador Lacôte, in his turn, mentioned the need to comply with the agreements reached on the ceasefire and make efforts to resolve the conflict through negotiations.
