The firing phase of the “Caucasus-2020” military exercise with the involvement of the subdivisions of the RA Armed Forces and the RF Armed Forces was conducted

On September 24, the firing phase of the exercise being conducted in Armenia within the framework of the “Caucasus-2020” strategic command and staff military exercise was conducted in the “Alagyaz” military range with the involvement of the units of the southern military district of the Russian Federation and the RA Armed Forces.

The motorized rifle units, artillery, tank, aviation and anti-aircraft warfare forces and assets took part in the military exercise led by commander of the joint group of the troops (forces) of the RA Armed Forces and the RF Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Tigran Parvanyan.

During the military exercise, the defence and counterattack scenarios were played, the direct management of the units during fulfilling joint tasks was improved, the interaction in terms of ensuring military security was clarified.

In general, more than 1.5 thousand people and about 300 units of the military equipment, including the operative-tactical and army aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles of the two countries, were involved in the phase of the “Caucasus-2020” military exercise conducted in Armenia.
