The subdivision of the RA Armed Forces left for Russia to take part in the “Caucasus-2020” strategic command and staff military exercise and preparatory stage to be held in the Russian Federation from September 21 to 26 in the “Kapustin Yar” military training ground (city Volgograd).

About 1000 servicemen from the subdivisions of Armenia, Belarus, China, Myanmar, Iran and Pakistan are invited to conduct joint military exercises as part of the group of the troops (forces).

The representatives of Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Sri Lanka will take part in the strategic military exercise as observers.

In total, about 80.000 servicemen (including formations of combat, logistics, anti-aircraft warfare, naval forces and special troops and military units) are involved in the “Caucasus-2020” strategic command and staff military exercise.

Up to 250 tanks, 450 infantry fighting vehicles, armoured fighting vehicles, up to 200 artillery and multiple rocket launchers are involved in the military exercise.
