On 07 May, 2010 RA MoD Seyran Ohanyan met the representatives of the National Youth Policy Council adjunct to the RA Prime Minister. In his speech Seyran Ohanyan underlined that the army-society link is always in the centre of attention of the MoD, and in this regard the importance of strengthening the cooperation with youth organizations is huge. The Minister added that as a result of the work done the level of interaction between the army and the society has increased, thus the trust for the AF has been improved. During the meeting the representatives of the council presented the Minister of Defence their suggestions and opinions about the work for strengthening the “youth-army” link.

According to Arsen Karamyan - the RA deputy minister of Sports and Youth Issues, deputy president of the National Youth Policy Council adjunct to the RA Prime Minister, the youth policy and the youth issues encompass diverse spheres: education, culture, army, sports, health, etc. And the fact that the first meeting of the council was with the Minister of Defence surely emphasizes the importance that the members of the council attach to army and military-education issues. Mr. Karamyan believes that today’s youth is ready to invest in the process of solving the issues of increasing the country’s efficiency and national security.
