During the meeting, the Minister of Defence presented the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border and the line of contact of the forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, the frequency and nature of the ceasefire violations. David Tonoyan stated that the military-political developments in the region, the situation of the world economy and the pandemic, the climatic conditions and several other factors increase the possibility of destabilization of the situation. In this sense, the Minister of Defence attached importance to speedy implementation of measures to weaken the tension in terms of ruling out more sabotages.

Ambassador Kasprzyk expressed willingness to make maximal efforts in his intermediary mission to weaken the tension.

The interlocutors also discussed the humanitarian issues related to the citizens in captivity and deprived of liberty.
