Shushan Stepanyan was appointed Press Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia

By the order of Minister of Defense of Armenia David Tonoyan, Shushan Stepanyan was appointed Press Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

Born: 08.08.1988, the Republic of Artsakh, Hadrut

1995-2005-studied and graduated with honors from secondary school after M. Manvelyan in Hadrut

2005-2009-studied at the Faculty of Journalism at Yerevan State University and graduated with honours

2007-2009-worked for “Hetq” electronic newspaper as an investigative journalist

In 2009, entered contract-based military service as a correspondent of the department of military-political information and ideology of servicemen of the “Hay Zinvor” newspaper editorial office of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia

2013- correspondent of the department of culture and public relations of the same newspaper editorial office

2015-2016- editor of the department of coverage of daily activities of the troops of the same newspaper editorial office

2017- head of the department of coverage of daily activities of the troops of the same newspaper editorial office

2018- correspondent of the press department of “Zinuzh Media” state agency

Since 2019, she has been serving in the Armed Forces of Armenia

2009-Winner of the Investigative Journalism Educational Competition organized by the European Journalism Centre. Then she was retrained in the Netherlands.

2014- retrained at the Academy of Information and Communication of the Armed Forces of the German Democratic Republic

She was awarded with medals and certificates of honor.

Her father, Shahen Stepanyan, was an active participant in the Nagorno-Karabakh War and was posthumously awarded order of the the “Combat Cross” of the second degree of the Republic of Artsakh.
