In order to watch the spring recruitment process, on the 26th of May RA MoD Seyran Ohaynay and RA Minister of Health Harutyun Kushkyan visited the republican recruitment centre. Before the tour the ministers met the recruits. During the conversations most of the recruits said that they were joining the Army with great enthusiasm and pride. Seyran Ohanyan wondered about their health, physical readiness and professional and educational skills. After wishing the them a successful and peaceful service the two ministers watched the work of the medical committee.

That day no serious health issues were discovered within the recruits. The medical specialists very carefully examined each and every young man joining the Army, did appropriate inoculations to make sure they prevent an unhealthy person entering the AF. During their interviews with the journalists the ministers stated that year by year the quality of the recruitment work is improved. The RA Minister of Defence added that it is obvious that “Every year RA citizens send their sons to join the Army with more responsibility and pride. And the public trust towards the Army is welcomed by us.” According to Seyran Ohanyan, at present the recruitment is overdone, and in general, lately every recruitment process exceeded the previous one by its quantity. Harutyun Kushkyan stated that suchlike visits will become consistent with the aim to realize the pre-recruitment and post-recruitment processes with higher quality. “We should preach healthy lifestyle to have healthy youth. And we, as doctors, should take all the necessary measures to keep the youth away from hospitals,” - said the minister of health.
