In his opening speech, David Tonoyan introduced the new members of the commission, also thanked the head of the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Armenia for participating in the meeting and supporting the activities of the commission. The Minister of Defense emphasized the importance of the role of the ICRC in revealing the fates of the missing persons, protecting the interests and rights of the captives and hostages.

A brief information about the activities done in 2019 by the commission and working group was represented during the meeting. The participants discussed a number of organizational issues, outlined the main directions of the activities included in the working program. The members of the commission made various suggestions on the organization of the forthcoming activities.

At the end of the meeting, Chairman of the commission, Minister of Defense David Tonoyan once again stressed the need to reveal the fate of the missing persons as soon as possible.
