On February 7, at around 16:50, four Armenian servicemen were stuck under an avalanche at the maintenance station of N military unit in Syunik Province of Armenia.

As a result of search and rescue efforts, the bodies of Karapet Nazaryan (father’s name Sedrak) (born in 1991), Tigran Arzumanyan (father’s name Armen) (born in 1994) and Nver Shahbazyan (father’s name Tigran) (born in 1995) were found.

Serviceman Hamlet Mirzoyan (father’s name Grenik) (born in 1998) was rescued. The serviceman received minor injuries. His health condition is assessed as satisfactory.

An investigation is underway to find out the circumstances of the incident.
